With spring already sprung upon us, it seems timely to update you regarding the 2021 HSRAA Annual Conference plans.
After careful consideration, despite the current plans for a relaxation of restrictions the Committee has decided that it would be overly ambitious to plan for a face-to-face conference in 2021. Accordingly, we have taken the decision to host the conference as a virtual event. Although a virtual conference lessens the valuable social networking aspect, it nonetheless permits members from around the globe to attend so that all our community are served equally irrespective of national and international restrictions.
The only conference focussed for Records Managers and Archivists in the life sciences and healthcare sectors, the HSRAA Annual Conference is a must-attend. There has never been a more important time for us to meet professionally given the impact of the reaction to SARS-CoV-2 on the sector and working practices.
The Committee has begun looking at options to make the conference as relevant, current, and interactive as possible to all its members including topics covering not just SARS-CoV-2 but all aspects of GLP, GCP, and GMP records and archives management.
As much as it is possible, we aim to maintain a collective shared-experience feel to the conference and are planning to incorporate (where possible) Q&A discussions after presentations, “round table” sessions, and maybe even workshops
We should like to make the conference free for members) although there may need to be a contribution charge for non-members.
At present we are scheduling for early September. If you would like to contribute, we shall, of course, be delighted to hear from you. Confirmed dates and more details about the conference and agenda will be posted here in due course. In the meantime, please keep the month clear if you possibly can!
